Since 2023 I’ve had the pleasure of assisting the team at Bloomberg Originals with their motion graphics art direction, design and animation needs. Below is a selection of some of my favorite projects from recent years.
RUIN: The Sam Bankman Fried Story
From Bloomberg Originals: “RUIN is a feature documentary about Sam Bankman-Fried and the stunning collapse of his cryptocurrency exchange, FTX, as narrated by Bloomberg journalists and some of the central players in the rise of digital assets.”
My role: In addition to some early visual exploration for the film (below), I was responsible for designing the final thumbnail/poster image for marketing and digital platforms, using the pre-existing logo lockup.
Creative Director: Rubab Shakir | Titles & Graphics Designer: Barbora Keherova | Visual development, cover art: Caresse Haaser
Exponentially With Azeem azhar
I was asked to design and build a full graphics package and toolkit for this interview-based show, hosted by tech journalist and entrepreneur Azeem Azhar. “Back of the envelope” was an oft-repeated stylistic directive, owing to the fact that Azeem and his guests would “noodle” over complex tech issues in an unpretentious and spontaneous way. The final look combines subtle grunge textures and pencil lines with bold gradients.
My role: Series logo design and graphics package, including: title cards, lower third and locator MOGRTs, stings, transitions, data visuals, and studio backdrop
Executive Producers: Azeem Azhar, Frederic Casella, Adam Cumiskey | Creative Director: Rubab Shakir | Editor: Diego Siragna | Motion designer: Caresse Haaser
India’s Harrowing World of Human Egg Brokers
From Bloomberg Originals: “India is part of a booming $35 billion global fertility industry. Under the pressure of a growing demand for eggs, India passed a law in 2021 to protect donors who put their health at risk during the donation process. But fertility doctors say new rules are making it nearly impossible to source eggs legally, essentially driving egg donation underground and putting donors at risk of being exploited.”
My role: Narrative animation sequences, from storyboard to styleframes to finished product. It was important that the illustrations matched aesthetically with the look and color palette of silhouetted interviews in the final piece.

Hello World With Ashlee Vance
Hello World with Ashlee Vance is a longstanding Bloomberg Show about the weird fringes of technology. I developed some animated sequences for several episodes, based on a really fun retro visual style.
My role: Storyboarding, illustration, animation, and animation direction.
